After traveling the world in search of the most prestigious diamonds, the founders of Maison LAVERAN, diamond dealers for six generations, settled in Paris and created a fine jewelry house.
Their experience gave them all the knowledge needed to create exceptional pieces worthy of Place Vendôme, from the selection of the stones to the choice of the workshops that craft them.
Yet after years spent creating high jewelry pieces, they became aware of the ecological and human risks this industry generates.
Mining diamonds and precious metals (gold, platinum…) consumes enormous amounts of water and fossil fuels, making it a heavily polluting industry. Even though the large companies that mine diamonds do everything they can to protect nature and the communities that work for them, many smaller companies do not share that ethic and still manage to bring their diamonds to market, even though they have no regard whatsoever for the environment or human rights.
Maison LAVERAN does not want its name associated with these practices. Its founders therefore decided to move toward a more sustainable and ethical business model, one that respects the planet and the women and men who live on it.
Maison LAVERAN therefore uses only lab-grown diamonds, also known as HPHT diamonds, CVD diamonds or, more commonly, "lab diamonds."
The Maison's concept is simple: to carry on the French jewelry heritage while combining it with technical innovations that limit the impact on the environment.
And so Maison LAVERAN was born in Paris, at the very heart of Parisian fine jewelry.
Its collections are timeless: whether for an engagement ring, a pendant or a diamond rivière bracelet, the Maison's designer set out to create modern collections. Exclusive Maison LAVERAN designs will be offered to you very soon.
