At Laveran, a men's wedding band costs from €90 in 925 sterling silver to €1,230 in 18k gold or platinum, depending on the model and the width (2, 2.5 or 3 mm). Here are the prices of our five men's wedding bands. The price depends on the metal and the width of the band; in 18k gold, the color makes no difference to the price, and platinum costs the same as gold.

Which metal should you choose for a men's wedding band?

• 18k gold (yellow, white or rose): the most common choice for a band worn every day. It is easy to polish and refinish over the years.
• 950 platinum: naturally white, dense and very durable. At Laveran, it costs the same as 18k gold, which often makes it the best value.
• 925 sterling silver: the most affordable option, from €90. Softer than gold, it scratches more quickly and needs a little upkeep. Ideal for a small budget or while you wait for a gold band.

What width should a men's wedding band be?

Our men's wedding bands come in 2 mm, 2.5 mm and 3 mm. A 2 mm width stays discreet and very comfortable; 3 mm makes more of a statement on the finger while remaining understated. A broad hand or thicker fingers can easily carry a wider band, while a slender hand is flattered by a thinner one.

Round, half-round or flat: which profile?

• The round band (Jonc Parisien): the traditional rounded ring, timeless.
• The half-round band (Demi Jonc Prestige): domed on the outside, flat on the inside, very comfortable for everyday wear.
• The flat band (Fidélis, Bonheur Parisien): a clean, contemporary line that lends itself well to engraving on the inside.
• The triple band (Trianon): three fine interlaced bands, for a more original wedding ring.

A men's wedding band with a diamond?
